Post not sharing with Facebook
-
Finally able to post with a link and it isn’t sharing with Facebook. I used the app an it said it was connected to facebook, hit allow a couple of times and fb shows that I’m sharing with workpress and I ‘ve redone this twice and it won’t share. However, some box tries to come up at the end of hitting all those allow buttons and it has no text in it . Wondering what that last box is, I think that I need to click something it it to finalize the option. I have popups blocker off and have enable every cookie anyone wants to send me…any ideas what I’ve done wrong? thx
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to using Publicize? If so have you tried the reconnection process described in the support documentation or not.
-
To make sure that your browser is set to accept both first and third-party cookies see here http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416

Yes, I did do both. I found the suggestions in a past forum post. They did not work, I really can’t figure out why that last window that pops up is blank , any other ideas?
-
I think that getting stuck at the last box on the Allow Publishing screen sounds like something’s not getting connected properly somewhere along the line. I would try clearing my browser cache and cookies and start the steps over.
If that didn’t work then I would contact Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
P.S. I also know you can use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer.

Thanks, I decided to go with rss graffiti, thanks for the suggestion. It was simple to install.

I’m glad to hear you have resolved this issue. Best wishes with your blogging and social networking. :)

I have done all of these things, but cannot get my latest post on Facebook. It has been working fine until today. I even deleted the post and made a new one, but it will not post to facebook. Has facebook changed something? I am very frustrated.

@kraftkonfessions: Then I suggest you bring it to the attention of staff:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ (to display the form, search for anything in the search engine, then indicate that you haven’t found the answer to your question) -
I think we’ve fixed this. Please try reconnecting one more time, and it should work on all future posts.

I’m having the same issues. Sometimes my posts get publicized on Facebook, but most of the time they don’t. I keep getting the message, “You must authorize connection with Facebook…” I hit all the buttons and get the message, “You have connected with Facebook.” However, the post will still NOT publicize to Facebook. I go into “Edit post” and click the box for Facebook, and try to “Update.” When I do that, the post comes back, shared on Yahoo and MSN, but Facebook is blanked out again. Granted, I’m fairly new at the whole blog thing, but why isn’t this working?

Are you trying to publish to your personal Facebook wall or a Facebook page?
Please try the full reconnect procedure detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step. -
I followed all the steps to remove and reconnect. I am unable to amend connection to Facebook with any of the posts I’ve made so far, and am hoping future posts will work.
Now when I see Facebook under the list of “connections” it allows me to “edit options.” I’m confused, though, because there ARE no options to edit, and it tells me “there are no Facebook pages you manage.” Does this refer to a public Facebook page vice a personal Facebook wall?
I can’t find a way to verify WordPress has the correct Facebook address, but assume they’ve got the right one, because my Facebook apps settings reflected the disconnect and reconnect with WordPress and never asked me for an address.
