post not showing images

I am working on the Mixfolio theme and would like my post to come up as pictures like in the example shown under themes. No matter what content I place in each page the first page shows black boxes instead of images. Can you please advise?
The blog i need help with is http://eyecanthearugalleria.wordpress.com/ but is currently listed as private. Do I need to make it public for you to help me?
