Post not showing in public listings

I am new to WordPress.com and have recently created a new post that is not showing up in the public listing section. My post has 2 tags, but I am still not able to see the post show up in the public listings, especially under the 2 tags. I am not sure what the issue could be. Please help.

If you look back thru the postings on this, you will note that it takes a while for a new blog to show up in the tag pages.

I’ve been trying to figure out what ‘a while’ translates to. The post is dated July 8th. Is the grace period 5 days, 7 days, a month? I just want to make sure I have everything right since I am new.

I am not new and I just made a new post which is not showing up in any of the tags either. They generally appear immediately upon posting. What’s the dill, pickle?

@mikesgirl, your latest post appears to have too many tags/categories. Staff has said that a combination of 12 is the approximate limit.

Yeah, I see that now. Thanks.
Thing is, I routinely use a ton of tags and so does my husband and our posts have always been listed before. One staff person said that 12 is not a hard and fast rule, but the more you use, the less the likely it will show up in the listing. Seems like they could set a clearer, more consistent standard so people don’t assume they’re being listed when they’re not.
Guess I’ll have start to checking the tags every time I post something to make sure.

You have everything right. Just keep posting. Doesn’t really look like you have anything but 2 posts?

….a post and a page. I suppose I was under the impression that the post would show up in the tags section within a few minutes of posting, and hadn’t realized that there would be a grace period. Is it a fair assumption that new users have an average grace period of 5 days?

You keep trying to get an exact date from us. We’re volunteers. If you’re that concerned about it I’d contact support. But honestly, it will show up. You’re best bet is to keep posting. Once you’re in the system. Your entries will show up in the tag system right upon publishing.
