post not showing in reader

  Hi,

  My latest post not showing in reader, I have had this happen to another post before as well. When I went to publish, the publish immediately option wasn’t there, so I set the time for the current time and then published the post. It is showing on my site, so it obviously published, but not in the reader like it normally does.

  Could you let me know how I can fix this, and what I am doing wrong.

  I’m not sure what happened, but I’m seeing it in my reader after following your blog.

  Next time you post, post here and I will check my reader again and we can see if it was just some sort of glitch.

  That is strange, I can see it now too, but it wasn’t there all yesterday. Thanks for checking it for me.

  Could I ask one more question, why does a photo gallery show in the reader instead of the set featured image?

  Promise I’ll leave you alone after this :) Just trying to work out if it’s something I haven’t set up correctly.

  hi there, no it’s happened before. I just deleted the gallery last time because it was only a couple of photos. But this time it isn’t possible, since there are so many pics.

  Would be great to find out how to stop it. Thanks so much for looking into it for me. It could be something I am doing, but I can’t find any setting that has anything to do with it.

  just thought I’d add, that last time it was when I was using a different theme, so it isn’t theme related.

  So essentially, if a post has a gallery, that over rides the featured image in the reader.

  I am still looking to see if there is a way to circumvent that.

  hmmm….. that’s a little annoying, sometimes the gallery isn’t the main picture that you want displayed, like in my post, the post is about the dish, but the gallery has photo’s of the farmers market that just make up part of the story.

  I agree completely.

  While I cannot make any promises, I would not be surprised to see an option to override that gallery/reader choice in the near future for exactly that reason.
