Post Notifications

in the top right on our blogs there is an icon, it turns orange when some activity such as a comment or post liked has been recorded. it would seem you have changed this recently. I used to be able to click it and view an archived where you could break down the activity viewed into various options, such as comments, followed by, liked, all etc
However this archive option has disappeared from this new look, can you please tell me where it can now be found?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. The link for the notifications archive indeed appears to have been removed. I can’t find it on the Classic Dashboard or the My Sites pages either. I’ll tag this for staff so they can tell us if that was intentional, or perhaps just a bug/omission in the new UI. Please be patient while waiting their response.

Regarding the notifications upgrade, I’ve noticed the orange star icon no longer ‘blinks’, if you will, to indicate each time someone likes a post. It will turn orange the first time someone likes a post, but remain static beyond that. Speaking for myself that functionality was both a useful and enjoyable part of the blogging experience. Is this an intentional and permanent part of the notifications upgrade? Thanks in advance.

Hi @steevjp,
If you would still like to use the old notification system, it is available here:

That’s a great point! I hadn’t even noticed that was missing. I’ll check in with our designers and get back with you.

Howdy once again. It’s been days so I was Just wondering if any progress was made on my query. The notification icon is still not refreshing when someone likes, comments etc, since the upgrade. Thanks for any feedback.
-
I am not 100% but I think you would need to raise your own query as your is a bit different to the query that I had.
-
I originally had and was directed by staff here four days ago, was given a response and an assurance to be given feedback, as you can see. I think I’m losing my patience, will start again with a new thread and see where they send me next…

@peerlesscynic
I’d advise against starting a new thread. Staff is already monitoring this one, and there are a ton of threads about the notification issue already. I know the wait is frustrating, but please try to be patient some more. The US-based staff should come online within a couple of hours, then they’ll see your new queries here. -
As they say, ‘there is some safe and sobering advice’. Thanks for the feedback, no worries.

I would have thought each issue that people were experience would need to have its own call. Especially when the issue that I logged was different to the issues that you are having, I could understand appending them to this call if they are the same problem/s.
Otherwise where does the support call stop and get resolved if everyone just adds their individual and different issue to the call.

Hi @peerlesscynic – No need to open a new thread! We’re still looking at the blinking functionality. I don’t have a timeline for when this will be added, but I’ll be sure to update you here when it does.

Oh hey thanks for that feedback, I know its been a busy week and you guys are working hard, I have confidence in you. Cheers!
