My site’s navigation bar has a heading labeled “Topics”. Under it I nest two items. They are “The Mount Ebal Curse Tablet” and “Dining Entente Cordiale”. When my readers click on the first, the appropriate 31 posts appear. When they click the other, however, the above 31 posts appear before the one for “Dining Entente Cordiale.” AI worked with me yesterday for about four hours. Finally, it concluded that a human technician needed to address the issue. AI informed that it would file the appropriate request for this assistance. Since then, I have received no response.

Thanks for reaching out!
It looks like you’re currently logged in with an Editor role on the site, which unfortunately doesn’t have the required permissions to make this specific change. To proceed, you’ll need to log in using the site owner account, which has Administrator access.
Once logged in as the site owner, here’s how you can fix the issue:
- Go to Appearance ⇢ Editor.
- In the left sidebar, click on Templates and select All Archives.
- Inside the template, locate and select the Query Loop block.
- In the block settings on the right, find “Query Type” and switch it from Custom to Default.
This change will ensure the archive pages for your nested menu items like Dining Entente Cordiale correctly display only the relevant posts.
Let us know if you have trouble accessing the owner account or need help with these steps!
