  I want to change the order of my posts from default to ‘newest to oldest.’ I found the instructions through help but the option is not available. Is this only for paying customers?

  The default is to display the newest post at the top with older posts below. This has nothing to do with if you have a free plan or a paid plan. Have you perhaps set some sticky posts? What is the address of your site? What theme are you using?
