Post Pagination struggles

  I’m trying to understand why I cannot get pagination to work within any of my posts. WordPress states that if I use <!–nextpage–> within the text tab, that it will automatically make the necessary adjustments. It’s not working.

  Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
