  How can I make my posts go to specific pages?
  I’d like a Home Page (where all of my posts go) but I would also like other pages such as “News” and “Weekly Player Profiles” to hold those same posts. I see that my News page is roarchicago.wordpress.com/news but my posts add the date before the “news” slug (roarchicago.wordpress.com/2013/02/18/news).
  Is there simply not a way to change the slug for posts to throw them into the news page? I feel like I’m overlooking something real simple, but I just can’t make it work for me.

  You don’t do it by adding pages, you do it by assigning the right category to each post and by creating a custom menu that will include these categories. For details see this post of mine:
