Post Placement

    Hello,

I’m writing an autobiography. I’m using the “Blank Canvas” template.

Is there a way to make any new post I write go to the bottom of the page rather than being placed towards the top?

That way my autobiography will read continuous.

    Thanks!!!

    Hi there!

That’s a great question. By default, posts on WordPress.com sites are designed to display with the newest first. However, if you’d prefer to switch that around so that the oldest is shown first, that’s also possible!

There are a few ways of doing this – one is the Query Loop block, which has the ‘Order by’ option to sort posts from ‘Oldest to newest’.

Or, the Latest Posts block can also display your oldest posts first, however it’s worth noting that this only shows a list of your posts with not much further customization.

There’s a bit more on both of those methods right here: https://wordpress.com/support/posts/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/

Hope that helps – if you have any other questions at all, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
