Post posted on the wrong date. Why? How can it be fixed?

  goto

  dashboard > post

  and change the date it was published, on right hand side of screen.

  Edit the post http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ and change the date stamp and time stamp in the publish module and then click “update”. I know you aren’t scheduling a post but these images may be helpful for figuring out what I said to do.
