Post previews on home page

  Hello,

  I’ve set up my blog using the Twenty Ten theme, which I like. However, I don’t like the fact that full blog posts are presented on the home page. Does anyone know how I can either just showcase the first couple of paragraphs of an article, or the Excerpt I’ve provided, with a link saying, “Read more” or “Click here for more..”?

  Is there a setting in the theme or appearance that I can change to do this?

  A search of the support pages for “read more” brought this: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/ . The support pages here are really great and cover just about everything you could possibly need to know about blogging here.

  Thanks so much for your help. I searched a bunch of terms but must have missed this. Sorry for troubling you, but thank you again for taking the time to do this! I’ve managed to apply this and I’m much happier with the length of my home page layout!
