post published but not visible on blog

  I published a post at exactly 12:00 am PST as I always do twice a week for the past five years. 40 minutes have gone by now and it has still not appeared on the blog. What’s up?

  I don’t think I have the same problem. I don’t have a blank post and I didn’t hit the new post button. I still have the post and it says it’s published, but can see one weird thing about it. I posted it about and hour ago and it says it was published on 1/21/2015 20:36.

  I found it. It’s two posts down from the top of the page. This must be because of the wrong post date, right? How can I get it on top?

  Okay, I changed the date and it went to the top of the page. I’m in business! Not sure how it had the erroneous date on it?

  Posts now always have the date you STARTED the post on, not the date you published the post on. You have to edit it before it goes live or you get this.
