Post revision not working

Hi,
Over the past 4 days I completely reworked 4 older posts (1 each day) and published them again. I also changed the published date to that day, so it is visible as a new post but on a new date. I checked everything on the live site and it was visible and working perfectly as intended.
Today I checked again, and noticed the 3 of the 4 posts had returned to the original old version, and I don’t know how. I did not make any other edits to those post, nor did an edit screen stay open during that time.
I tried to go to revisions in the Elementor editor but could not load or preview the revisions there. Then I tried to view the revisions in the WordPress end and could see the changes. But I only managed to return 1 of the 3 changed posts to the new version. 2 Of them always got the notification that the post had been restored to a revision, but it only showed a “.” where normally a date would be of the revision, and when I checked the post hadn’t changed to that revision.
I cleared cache, unused css,… all the steps that Elementor advises if a change made in their editor would not show up on the live site but this also didn’t help.
Any idea how this can be solved or prevented in the future?

It sounds like maybe you are looking at a cached version of the site. If you’ll send a link, we’ll check it out and point you in the right direction for support.

Cache was also a problem I suspected, so I cleared the cache, the used css and regenerated the files and data from Elementor, but this didn’t work when normally if a change to a post doesn’t show up on the live site this always works.
In the mean time I changed the posts again and they are still correctly displayed on the live site, so the problem or bug seems to be gone (for now).
