Post revisions too frequent

I expect it is just something I just have to live with, but it drives me crazy when trying to design a page …between one actionand another there is a revision notice…I have been trying to change the colour of alternate sections of type which sometimes works and sometimes, frequently, doesn’t (WHY? another question) and going back and forth I am constantly at a loss as to whether I succeeded between view page and a previous draft. Maybe there is something I am missing about how to handle this.?
No hope of saving one own drafts I suppose? or making it less frequent?
    Please and thankyou!

WordPress autosaves on a frequent basis so that there is less chance of you losing anything. Anytime you are working over the internet, that is always a possibility, and in the past before autosave and post revisions, there were a good number of people that lost whole posts because they had not manually saved.

The long list of revisions is something you will have to live with, and if you happen to experience an internet glitch when writing a post, you will be glad to have the saved revisions.

OK…thanks…I thought that would be the case. Always hopeful! As I am doing static pages…I have different priorities. I like to make the most of the design within the limitations. But I will live within the boundaries.
I will ask the other question separately.
    Thanks, Julia.
