Please help. I am trying to make a post on my main page, and also have it show up on another page. I tried by clicking the catagory, but the second page only shows the link. I want it to show the post just as its shown on the main page. Please help! Thank you.

Hi. The theme you are using (Titan) is designed that way: categories only show the title of each post, not their content. Here’s a list of themes that behave that way (and those that don’t):

Also, did you take note of what the other volunteers said on your other topic?

Yes…I did…I am a bit confused as I am not intending on making money off of the website? I am simply posting deals and pictures of my deals. I have links to other sites? I have read the TOS and I might sound so stupid…I am still confused. I was referred to word press by the many other blogs I do follow that DO generate income from their website.

I am all new at this and feel like it would be so much easier for me to pay someone to set this up for me. You want the job? lol

You need to know that there are two types of wordpress sites. There are those hosted here at wordpress.com, which have restrictions on advertising and such and then there are those wordpress sites that are self-hosted on third-party hosting services such as dreamhost, bluehost, etc.

Self-hosted sites are pretty much free to do anything they want (within the TOS of their web host). They can advertise, install shopping carts and do e-commerce, they can even if they want to build splogs (spam blogs) meant to do nothing but get people to click on links to make them money (just saying someone could, not saying that is what you are doing).

My suggestion on the TOS and such is to run it past staff and get them to give you their opinion. They will take a look at what you want to do and then let you know.

If staff say no, then you can pay TSP to set it up for you; he’s about the best there is. But what’s your budget?

Thanks! Now I am understanding a bit more. I think they have someone else host their page. Just checked out dreamhost and bluehost so I will look into those. I am trying to make my site like one of the sites I follow…just my content will be a bit different…However, I like how everything is posted on her page as far as navigation…etc…
    Thanks for your quick responses.
As far as a budget, I don’t want to spend a lot. I know I can do this myself if I set my mind to it. That’s the problem though…I just don’t think I have the patience for it lol.
I will upkeep it and make changes and posts to it daily…but just the intial set up and making sure everything is the way I like it is driving me nuts!

It really is not difficult. Read up on things for a week, reading about WordPress.ORG, and you’ll be able to do it pretty easily. Better to get it the way you want right off the bat than put a lot of work in and just have to move later.
