Post Settings > Tags list not displaying all tags

    hello. I am using the WordPress App to add posts to my site (private site). I use the Post Settings to add categories and tags to my posts. But the list displayed does not update with all the tags that I have on my site (I may have more than 100 tags). Even when I start typing it does not show up. They are not new tags and it’s unclear why some show and some do not (the 2025 tag for example didn’t show up to re-use for about 4 or 5 weeks into the new year and then it did).

    the photo attached shows the tags I have added from the list. I am trying to add the tag ‘USA’ which has about 50 other posts with it assigned but does not show up in my list.

    Be gentle with me – I had someone build my WordPress site for me so am not familiar with all the techie parts of this incredible tool! Any ideas?

    I would say you have much too many tags – https://wordpress.com/support/posts/tags/#use-tags-to-get-discovered
