Post Statistics
-
I’d like to find the statistics about when I started a post and its word count. Where can I find that information now?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Go to Dashboard > Posts > All Posts and hover over the title of the post. Click the edit link. The word count is located under the editor box. The date of publication of every post is embedded into the post URL. Example https://careercoachcorner.wordpress.com/2015/04/17/compensation/

The only thing I can find under the editor box are four buttons that say:
Trash : Preview : Save Draft : Update. There’s nothing that tells me about word count.I’m now using a different laptop that’s currently running Windows 7 until I’m ready to make the transition to Windows 8.1. Is it possible that’s what’s making the difference or has the site gone through some changes?
Also, the previous post template would tell you if you’re working on a revised version of your post and then provide a link to the statistics about the previous versions, i.e., date and time of the revisions as well as how many revisions. That was very useful and I’d like to be able to access that information again.

You are using the new editor and that’s where the issues stem from. You cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it. I don’t use it at all. For locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and viewing stats see here > Navigating the Classic WordPress.COM interface http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/

date and time of the revisions as well as how many revisions
Post revisions are not included in the new editor. See here:

I’m really grateful for your help @timethief. And I’m relieved that the post that’s the subject of this discussion isn’t one that has more importance to me than some of my other blogs.
When I have some breathing time, I’ll get myself up to speed on going back to the Classic WordPress.com interface. I prefer that to the new one.
