post STILL not showing
-
I’ve looked in the archives and found that this has been resolved only recently, thus:
“What’s the URL of the post? And have you checked the datestamp to make sure it’s not set to publish in the future? Sometimes that accidentally gets ticked.
Also, have you cleared your browser cache and done a forced reload of the blog page? You might be looking at an old version of your blog.”
1. I’ve checked the datestamp and it shows today’s date.
2. I’ve cleared my computer’s cache and reloaded the page.
3. I’ve checked the listing of posts and my post today is listed. I can even view it, provided I access through the “Manage” tab in the Dashboard.
4. I’ve checked its status: Published.I’ve been able to post in the last month or so. This is the only time that I haven’t.
This issue is UNRESOLVED.
Please help!

if you’ve done everything by the books then this mean it’s a problem in the system of your blog. as volunteers in the forums have no backend access, you have to report to feedback so they can fix the problem. feedback is at the top right corner of dashboard. feedback is only open during weekdays, by the way.

The original poster’s issue was resolved.
What you’re experiencing is a new iteration of a similar problem: you’re the third person today I’ve heard this from. I think the cause may be quite different. Send a feedback as sulz suggests (it should open in an hour or so) and get into the habit of copying everything in the post box just before you hit Publish, so at least you’ve got a saved copy on your clipboard and can paste it into a Word or Notepad document if the post itself goes kablooie.

Yup! Thanks, you guys. And I was so happy to transfer to WordPress from Blogger…In any case, is this because I’m using a free service? :P

Not trying to be rude but you haven’t done everything. You haven’t told us what the URL of the post in question is. You haven’t told us what the timestamp is.
Please remember that only you can see what is occuring. All we can do is make guesses without that information.

No, Blogger didn’t charge me. My blog was hacked by a Japanese sex site and kept posting entries in Japanese. I sent Blogger a note calling the staff’s attention to this fact but, well, what do you do when an email comes back saying, “There’s still a gazillion complaints we have to attend to. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can.” Or something to that efftect. I transferred my old blog to Blogdrive and I’m happy with the (free) service. I thought I’d give WordPress a go as I liked the templates.
“Not trying to be rude but you haven’t done everything.”
I did these things:
1. I’ve checked the datestamp and it shows today’s date.
2. I’ve cleared my computer’s cache and reloaded the page.
3. I’ve checked the listing of posts and my post today is listed. I can even view it, provided I access through the “Manage” tab in the Dashboard.
4. I’ve checked its status: Published.“You haven’t told us what the timestamp is.”
I did: 1. I’ve checked the datestamp and it shows today’s date.
“You haven’t told us what the URL of the post in question is.”
I thought I’d follow what raincoaster suggested in a previous thread. It seemed to have worked for the blogger who received the advice.
In any case, the entry is now posted on my blog, and the archives now show one post for July. Could this be a problem with the server? Because yesterday the Feedback link kept showing this page that announced a weekend break. I couldn’t get hold of any feedback form. I didn’t post the URL of the entry on this forum, so no one could have known there was a problem with it. Thus, no one could have fixed that particular glitch.
I’ll be monitoring this problem and see what happens when I post Fridays and Mondays.
Thank you, all!

Feedback is always closed on the weekends, but they do check in from time to time and tinker with things that appear to be emergencies. Maybe that’s what happened here.
When there’s a problem with a specific post, it’s always best to give us the URL because we can take a direct look. Sometimes it’s as simple as a browser setting or clean cache, sometimes it’s a stray tag. We can help faster if we have a direct link.
