Post Summaries rather than full text

  I am new here – so apologies if this is a daft question –

  I would like to display only the first 10 or so lines of my posts, giving the reader the option of reading on if they want to. Is this something that I can change? Or is it pre-set by my blog presentation?

  Hi Steve,

  You can make use of the <!--more--> tag in each post to decide where you would like to cut the post of. It’s partially described here:

  It’s icon 13 in the visual rich text editor and you have to do each post individually because there is no “pre-set” for every post to be automatically done http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/
