Post text disappears in new editor
-
I brought this up previously, but found a workaround. But it’s popped up again and I think it’s a serious bug.
Occasionally when I try to edit a post which was originally posted in classic editor, I go to the new editor screen and find that the text box is blank. Everything else appears -tags, title, URL etc. But the text box is completely empty. The time before, I only wanted to change a tag, so I did that and updated, then found that the text had been deleted from the post. I never found it, but was able to recreate the post from memory.
Today I wanted to make a correction in the body of an older text. In new editor, the text box appeared empty. I hit the back button without typing anything or saving, then went to the post in classic editor, and it was fine. I made my changes, updated, and it worked perfectly. This happened to me at least once before, and going to classic editor worked then too.
This hasn’t happened to me with posts that were originally composed in the new editor.
I feel okay now that I’m pretty sure I know how to avoid losing a post, but like I said, it seems like a serious bug that could really be a problem for me if I didn’t know about it.
Thanks for all you guys do.
