Post Text Is Off-Center – Suggestions?

I’ve crawled the forums looking for an answer to this issue and haven’t been able to find one, so if this post is a duplicate of another post I somehow missed, I apologize.

I’m having a hard time figuring out what I’m supposed to do about the body content of my posts. It’s off-centered and too close to the right side of the page. Does anyone have a suggestion about how to center the text of my posts?

Hi, Imbalance 2 is designed with that right offset on posts. The code below moves the Previous/Next link to the top right above the post title and then expands the content to fill the full width of the white area. You can add this to the end of your existing CSS and see what you think.

If you choose to use the following, in the CSS edit window, set the “content width to 880px so that images inserted full-width will be the correct size.

    position: absolute;
    top: 0;
    right: 0;
}

h1.entry-title {
    margin-top: 40px;
}

.entry-meta {
    padding-left: 250px;
}

I’ll mention that when looking through your source code, I’m seeing MS Word formatting in your posts. Microsoft Word is a fine word processor for producing documents to be shared or printed, with a wealth of print-based options for indexing, and producing table of contents. As a web publishing tool it is a little less than ideal and produces very messy HTML. If using MS Word to compose your posts, use the “Paste from Word” button on the lower tool bar of the visual editor. See here for more information: http://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/
