I was just wondering if anyone knew how to make the Post Timestamp work. I wrote a post and wanted it to show at 9:00 this morning. I check for it this morning, and it’s not up. When I logged on, the post sudddenly appeared on my site, but it is not showing up in any of the wordpress tags. Please help. Now, no one will know about it.

The timestamp thing has been going nuts. It doesn’t work right. A lot of people have been complaining about it.

Have you tried putting it back as a draft, then re-publish it?

Thanks for the reply. I’ll be sure to try that next time. My post is suddenly showing up in the tags now. I guess it’s just a major lag or something.

Most people have decided that until the timestamp issue is resolved, they will just save the entry as a Draft, then manually publish it at a later time.

Plus I think the whole timestamp is confused as to time zones. I set it for Central European Time, so that a 9:00 a.m. post really appears on nine in the morning HERE, not nine a.m. Eastern Time, but it does not seem to be right anyway

I’ve noticed that, too. It asks for information in your own time zone, and it displays certain things in your zone, but at other times it doesn’t. There isn’t any continuity with utilizing your time zone settings. It’s all borked!

It’s possible these two issues are related – scheduled posts not appearing at the correct time https://en.forums.wordpress.com/search.php?q=scheduled+posts
In any event this is a problem that only staff can sort out as bloggers answering questions on the forum do not have backend access to blogs.
