Post title overlaid on featured image in some but not all posts

  Hello! I just recently launched a new WordPress blog. I’ve used WordPress for years, but this is a new theme and I’m running into some issues! I have a few posts I migrated over from my old blog; two are automatically overlaying the post title on the full-width featured image (which I want), and the other isn’t overlaid and isn’t showing the featured image at full width.

  There are the two that are functioning correctly:
  – makechangenotnoise.wordpress.com/2021/03/13/social-media-strategy-for-progressive-democrats
  – makechangenotnoise.wordpress.com/2018/09/14/3-tips-for-getting-bloggers-influencers-to-post-for-free-about-your-ethical-brand

  This is the one that isn’t:
  – makechangenotnoise.wordpress.com/2015/08/15/why-i-donate-to-your-competition/

  The theme I’m using is Nikau.

  PS: I’m also trying to remember how to make the url show up without the .wordpress (I own makechangenotnoise.com, and I guess right now it’s forwarding to makechangenotnoise.wordpress.com. I know I’ve figured it out before, but if anyone can advise me, I’d appreciate that too!

  Okay ignore my PS, I just solved the domain problem. Now I just need help with the featured image overlay!

  One more edit, sorry! I just changed my permalink structure, so the aforementioned links no longer work. Here are the updated links:

  These two are functioning correctly (with the title overlaid over the feature image):

  – makechangenotnoise.com/3-tips-for-getting-bloggers-influencers-to-post-for-free-about-your-ethical-brand

  And this one is not functioning correctly (the title displays above the featured image, which is not full width as I’d like it to be):

  LAST UPDATE: Problem solved. When you add a custom excerpt to your post, the Nikau theme automatically overlays the title & excerpt on your featured image. Leaving this post up in case anyone else needs help!
