post to page other than default?
-
Is it possible to have WP post to child pages, or does it always default to the homepage?
Thanks!

Give it an earlier date than what’s displayed on the front page. The posts up front are in order from your most recent and then backwards from that date and time. The defination of a blog used by most blogging platforms and indexing and categloging sites state that the front page is this list.
Please note that child pages actually means something specific on the wordpress platform. We can create Pages at Dashboard -> Write -> Pages. These are special articles that sit out side the regular post structure as they don’t have timestamps attached to them, they’re not labeled with categories, nor do they show up alongside the posts. You can create subpages in addition to those and have them sit under specific top level Pages.
Hope this helps,

But how do you get a post to show up under a different page? I don’t see the option anywhere…am I that old? Please help.

Start a new thread for a different issue next time, please.
To make a different page, instead of clicking Write Post, click Write Page. Pages don’t update like Posts do, and they aren’t included in the search function.
