  I notice that on one blog of mine that the sidebar disappears when you click on a post which makes for softer reading, eg.http://emptynestdiary.wordpress.com/2011/06/06/sunday-at-the-mall/

  I can’t figure how to make that happen on this blog: http://kellysalasin.wordpress.com/2010/06/21/a-blessing-for-summer-solstice/

  Hello there,
  Your two blogs are wearing two different themes ie. Twenty Eleven and Pilcrow. Sidebars are optional on the Pilcrow theme. Pilcrow: sidebar can be activated for the blog in general (Appearance > Theme Options), and can be deactivated on any static page (Page editor > Attributes module > Template). http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/11/12/widgets-on-pages-or-single-posts/
