Post visibility – why isn't public available???

  The only options I get for sharing my blog post are: POST VISIBILITY
  Visible for members of the site
  Private
  Password Protected

  What about public??

  And when I copy and paste the link into FB it says protected blog and asks for a log in.

  That, and I’ve configured the posts to push to FB when they are published but that’s not working either.

  Help??

  As your site visibility is private what you describe is normal behavior.

  To change blog visibility to Public go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 1. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings

  But it still won’t publicize on FB.

  When I go to those setting it says it’s connected but the page itself (widget) says it’s not and to check the settings..

  Right. The change won’t be reflected instantly. You can wait and then use the Facebook debugger.

  I know this sounds weird, but you’ll need to ask a friend who has never shared one of your posts before to share a post. This will kick Facebook’s cache back in gear. The only other alternative is to wait for it to clear out on its own in about a week.

  If that does not work then Facebook has yet to flush their caches and we have zero control on that but you can try using the Facebook debugger to expedite this by visiting https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

  I got this response from the debug tool:
  The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.

  We have no control over the images that Twitter, Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.
