post vs page

Hi! I’m so uneducated about this stuff I’m not even sure how to ask the question! I have started a blog, http://www.myhomeinburgundy.com . I have the blog on my main page. To add more interest, I have added recipes to a second page. The blog main page has links to each entry, while alos listing them in one long entry in the centre of the page. The recipes are showing as one long entry on their page, but there is not option to click on individual recipes. you just have to scroll down through all of them to see what is there. Can anyone help me with this? I have no idea if i am even explaining it right, all the terms are confusing me!! I saw something that involved categories, but categories make no sense to me either!!!!

Hi Krista
myhomeinburgundy.com is using the Twenty seventeen theme and is hosted over at Bluehost. There is a support forum for your theme at https://wordpress.org/support/theme/twentyseventeenThe hosting at someplace other than WordPress.com means you are asking in the wrong place. For support issues with content hosted at places like Bluehost, you should ask at https://wordpress.org/support/ – they have he experience with sites hosted elsewhere.
That being said, you asked for ideas on how to not have to scroll through the whole page to find one recipe, That sounds like a good job for a table of contents! You could also do a read more tag to make the recipes take up less room on the page.
Since you now have a link to the forum that can help you get your theme to work for you the way you want, give it a test drive! Go on over and ask. Your blog is not huge, so you should not need a plugin to make the table of contents and the more tag.
Good luck
dave
