Post we don't want to categorized

    I added a few categories to organize the articles. So far I have 2 categories + “uncategorized”, the default one. However, I wrote a welcome post that I don’t want to put in any category since, it’s an introduction to the blog. Because I didn’t assign it any category, it’s immediately set under “uncategorized”. That would be ok, is that very category “uncategorized”, wasn’t showing up on the front page, right above the title.
    Does it mean that all articles should be categorized? What if I don’t want to?

    Anything without a category will be assigned to the default category set at Settings -> Writing in your blog’s Dashboard.

    There really isn’t any way around this, so what I did was just create a category titled General for all of my miscellaneous stuff. I’ve seen other folks use Miscellaneous, Meta, Other, etc.
