post without notifying subscribers?

  Is it possible to do a post, but not have it sent to followers?

  Hi. I’m told that you can temporarily set your blog as private, publish your post, and it won’t be sent to email-only subscribers. People subscribed as WordPress.com users may still receive a notification of the new post.

  Just to clarify: this is only if you set your blog to private, publish the post, and then make your blog public. Your blog post will be visible to everyone nevertheless.

  If you make your blog private and want to keep it private from now on, that’s another story: the WordPress.com users you invite to view the private blog will be able to subscribe and receive posts by email.

  If ur using feedburner to manage ur subscribers, then yes u can disable publishing thru email temporarily.
  Am not aware of anything similar if ur using the Subscribe widget of wordpress.
