Post Won’t publish

  Hi gang.

  I’m having a major problem trying to publish a post on my blog. Something I’ve first notice last night. Every time a good post is made and ready to be publish, I click on the publish button and everything hangs and freezes up. I don’t understand what is going on and I’m wondering is there any way for you guys to fix it. I can save my post fine, but when it comes to publish the post, that’s a different story.

  Try logging out of wordpress, clearing your browser cache and cookies, close the browser, reopen it and then log back in.

  As a safety measure, right before you hit the publish button, select everything in the post and copy it to your clipboard (ctrl + c windows or cmd + c mac), leave the text highlighted and then hit publish. This way, if the post doesn’t publish, you will not lose your work. You can paste it into a text program or something.

  What browser/version and operating system are you using? There are known issues with IE6, Opera and Safari 2.x.x

  I’m using Firefox v. 2.0.0.12. Should I use Firefox 3 beta?

  WordPress has not begun to support FF 3 yet since it is still in Beta (like trying to hit a running target) and from what I remember, there are some issues that cropped up with it. I would switch back to 2.0.0.12 for now.

  I’m using that version right now. I’m switching to Sea monkey for a bit and tried it. Doens’t work. It’s not working on IE, too.

  So am I. At least until I found that all I have to do is remove the quotations from the title to the post and Voila! My post is published. That’s what the problem was. It was the quotations in the title that kept the post from being published. So I removed the quotations and the post got published fine.
