Post won't upload at all.

I am trying to post my first post and it won’t let me upload. I have cleared my cache and browsing history. I click on Publish at the bottom right and a green line travels across the top of the screen showing that it is processing the request. But just before the green line reaches the end it always stops and the page remains the same. Doesn’t upload, doesn’t say ‘error’, nothing. I have tried uploading about 10-15 times and also on my ipad rather than laptop. Nothing works, the screen just stays the same. Can anyone explain how to get the post to upload? Thanks

It sounds like you are trying to post from someplace other than the WordPress.com Dashboard.
How are you posting and if using a browser, which is it?

Thanks for the reply.
I’m going through Firefox which is my default browser. I log in and click on the pen with a plus sign to add a new post. I just tried again just typing ‘test’ (in case my post was too long) but no luck. I also tried entering via clicking on my blog name under the tab with a person on it and the same page appeared to type into. I choose a publishing setting (I tried both private and password protected) and then click Publish.
There must be something I’m doing wrong but I can’t think what. -
Problem solved. I switched back to classic view and it uploaded fine. Not sure what that was all about, but thanks!
