postaday and search engines

  My blog is closed to search engines. Does that mean that even if I tag my Postaday posts with “postaday2011” they won’t show up when people search in WordPress, and they won’t be listed like in today’s blog entry listing such posts? I would like my blog to show up to WordPress users doing the Postaday challenge, but I’m reluctant to open my blog to all of Google and the whole internet. Thanks.

  If you link out then your posts will be indexed by search engines.

  If you block search engines, then you will not appear on the Global Tag Pages, that is correct.
