Postbot keeps giving authentication errors.
I’ve tried to sign out and log back in, in different browsers and using different devices, but I keep getting an error message (“Something went wrong authorizing your WordPress.com account, please try again”). I have also checked in my account under Security and there Postbot is listed as connected under Connected Applications. I removed the connection and tried to reconnect, only to get the same error message on postbot.co. I did see that the connection was again listed as active under Connected Applications though.I’ve tried for two days and I was wondering if I missed something which I should have done. Or maybe that something has gone wrong which I can’t check or fix.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We provide support only for blogs being hosted WordPress.COM and not for WordPress.ORG software installs. You are posting to the wrong support forum. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

I have a problem with the Postbot service, which needs my WP.com account to function. So I am in the right place.
That I’ve got a selfhosted blog listed is basically irrelevant (and I didn’t think to remove it in the form…).

I don’t know what the postbot service is. What is the URL of the .wordpress.com blog involved here please?

There is none… There is no blog involved, I’m talking about the Postbot service by Automattic. It has just been launched and was announced in a news article.
It uses my WP.com account to link to the service, just like Akismet or Polldaddy for instance. But I keep getting authentication errors, so I can’t access the service. Since it’s an Automattic service, I need a Happyness Engineer to troubleshoot my problem.

It finally connected, although I do not know what has changed… The settings have remained the same but authentication succeeded just now.
I’d still like to know why it didn’t succeed at first, but I’m not as much in a hurry to find out why as I was yesterday. ;)
