  Is the Postcard theme used in 2013 still supported by WordPress?

  Hi there,

  On what site did you use that theme?

  We’ve never offered a theme called Postcard on WordPress.com. I can’t find a theme by that name on WordPress.org either, so if it was a theme offered over there, it has likely been retired by its developer since.

  Okay, yes, that site isn’t built with us on WordPress.com, but rather uses the open source version of WordPress.

  The theme you link to is the same theme. That theme was made by WooThemes. WooThemes is today known as WooCommerce, and it looks like they no longer offer that theme – if you click the “More Information” button on https://www.themeshaker.com/theme/postcard-travel-blog-wordpress-theme it takes you to this page on WooCommerce.com: https://woocommerce.com/retired/

  So it’s no longer possible to buy that theme from WooCommerce.

  Technically it should be possible to copy that theme’s files from the current site, and install it to another self-hosted WordPress site (on WordPress.com that would require the Business Plan), but I don’t recommend that – seven years is pretty old for a theme, and as this theme is no longer maintained it means it has likely developed both security issues and compatibility issues with the newest version of the WordPress software.
