Posted dissapeared after edit
-
I just finished editing a post in Edit Post, clicked Save Draft then Preview. On the preview page the title was present but no post!
When I went back to Edit Post the body of the post was blank. I looked at Revisions and found one from several minutes earlier (though it seemed incomplete) when I clicked ‘Restore Revision’ nothing happened?
Can you advise me where my post has gone please?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What’s the title of the post you are referring to? Do you see the post listed at https://karlbaldwin.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php ?

I sort of fixed the problem myself. At the time there were 8 revisions available but the ‘Restore Revision’ button didn’t do anything when clicked on it. So, despite the fact there was a chunk missing from the end of the last revision I highlighted the entirety of it in text mode and pasted into the now empty edit post page. I then finished it without further issues arising. I’m assuming that revision content is driven by clicking the Save Draft button?
I still don’t know how it disappeared in the first place but it hasn’t happened again.

Yes, that’s correct. WordPress.com will store the last 25 revisions for each post on your blog. You can read more about post revisions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
I’m glad you’ve got part of your content back. I wasn’t able to find any specific issue with your blog, but let me know if you encounter any issues along the way.
