posterous back up problem

  my posterous blog wont finalize, it seems to be frozen on ‘finalizing’ i need this to complete before i can download it and then upload to wordpress

  If you’re not able to complete the import, feel free to send the .xml to us by e-mail. This way we can import it for you.

  what it is is the request back up button on posterous wont finalize, it should be a yellow ‘request back up’ button and once backed up it should change in to a green ‘download button

  Once your backup file has been prepared, Posterous should send you an email notification. If you don’t get the notification within a few hours, just log back in and see if the backup is ready. The “Request Backup” button will have turned into a green “Download” button when your files are ready.

  how long should this take? as it has been frozen on ‘finalizing’ for around 5 days now! i cant reset it either to request back up again, i haven’t seen the green download button yet!

  I’m not sure but 5 days seems to be very long. Otherwise contact Posterous and request your backup. You can go to http://posterous.uservoice.com/knowledgebase and click on the ‘Contact Support’ link on your right hand side.
