Yes. Thank you I have followed instructions but when I go to tools >import> posterous is not on the list of options to choose

No. I’m sorry but Staff have a considerable backlog of threads tagged for their attention. They work through them in chronological order based on datesstamps and timestamps. How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.
Please don’t bump your thread here again by posting into it because it’s not in your best interest to post to it again after it has been tagged for Staff help. Thread bumping moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response.

The Posterous importer was recently removed since Posterous was discontinued a year ago.
If you have an .xml file, you can try your import in the WordPress importer tool, but if that doesn’t work, I’m afraid you may not be able to import your content at this time.
Let me see what I can find out. -

I’ve subsequently tested this myself, and it looks like our WordPress importer will not process Posterous files.
We were having some issues with the Posterous importer tool and deactivated it. Since it looks like there’s still some demand for it, our developers will look into the problem and reactivate it if they can.
If I hear anything more I’ll let you know.

no luck so far. did the import and it gave me a message that it was being worked on and I would be notified when it was done. That was a week ago.
