posterous photos to wordpress gallery possible?

Iʻm just another posterous immigrant. I know how to CREATE galleries, but how do I EDIT the bunches of existing photos imported from posterous galleries to a wordpress gallery?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but I don’t have the answer to that question. I tagged this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the read so you are notified when they reply.

There is no automated what to do this.
You’ll need to re-assemble the gallery following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

staff-blorbo – Perhaps this should be added to the Posterous import Support doc?
Also, just a quick question: How do the images import? Are they attached to their previous posts or pages or simply a bulk import to the Media Library? Hopefully if it’s the first, simply adding the Gallery shortcode
[gallery]to it’s desired place in the post/page will create the Gallery. Otherwise, the only way would be by following the Gallery Support doc instructions, needing to recreate each Gallery separately. -
They are attached to the post, so you could certainly just add the shortcode.
I suppose I just like the point-and-click GUI better. :)

staff-blorbo – For future posts with Galleries in them, that would be the preferable thing to do.
But for those folks trying to recover their posts/pages gallery-type display from their Posterous import, if just typing the shortcode in will accomplish the same thing, going the whole “insert media” route is a lot of extra work. I can see where it might be troublesome in the long run (if someone adds additional images to the post but not have them show up in the Gallery, for example), but typing in the shortcode would be a time-saver in the majority of instances.
Just my 2¢ worth.
