Posterous xml failed to upload

XML posterous is not importing. I have followed the guide but it still fails to upload the wordpress export xml file.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Since this topic was originally created, Posterous developers made some changes to the backup tool, and our developers tweaked our importer.
Please download the latest version of the Posterous backup and try the import again. For your reference, import instructions are here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-posterous/
If you run into any issues, please let me know!

Hi Jenia
I have tried the download and import again, and I still get the same error message.
Is this still under construction, as I see that you have a main banner still saying that anyone with Posterous issues please follow the instructions?
Can you help further
Thanks

It’s possible that the issue could by your browser.
To rule that out, would you please try uploading with a different browser, like Chrome or Firefox?

Import Posterous
Sorry, there has been an error.Could not read the XML file. Please make sure you are uploading a valid .xml or .xml.gz file. For more info, please see our documentation.
-
Ok, sorry about that!
If you don’t mind, try requesting the export file one more time at the end of the day today or tomorrow morning. The problem seems to be on their end, and I don’t think they would have fixed it over the weekend, more than likely they’ll have it fixed up today.
If it’s still bad by tomorrow morning, please let us know, there may be something we can poke with a sharp stick.
Sorry for the trouble!

Ok WordPress/Posterous what can we do.
I have just tried again and it gives me the same error.
Can anyone fix this soon?
Thank you

Ok, one more thing to try so we can rule-out any browser-specific issues.
Would you please try a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome?
-
Tried it on Firefox and still the same issue
I downloaded from Safari, but that shouldn’t make a difference to the download file?
Thanks for trying to help
-
theepictri, I have sent an email to the address on your account. Would you please reply to that with the export file attached so we can investigate?
danevo, please let me know if a different browser makes any difference for you.

staff-blorbo: unfortunately not. I used the newest FF and the newest Chrome on Mac and on PC. The export is the problem. German ö, ä, ß, ü etc. are “??”.
The file is exported as UTF-8.
<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?>
Example:
is: <title>Unser Weihnachtsgeschenk f??r Maria aus Itomero in Uganda</title>
Should be:
<title>Unser Weihnachtsgeschenk für Maria aus Itomero in Uganda</title>It looks like a Problem at Posterous.
-
To be clear. I talk about the export. The xml is wrong after the download from posterous. Is not a import problem.
-
Yeah, you’ll definitely need to contact Posterous about that. If the file itself has the wrong characters, that’s what we’ll import, because that’s all we see.
-
-
No, we do not, just the traditional contact support links via http://help.posterous.com/
