  After making a post – I’d don’t want the whole post to show up on the front page. Rather I’d like for a little image plus a caption be shown on the page and only after clicking should the reader be able to read the entire post.

  Is this possible?

  I am not sure if you can get the image and a customized caption, but if in the create post (or edit post) screen you will see there is a ‘more’ option which breaks up the post into an extended portion. Everything up the that break in the post is shown on the front page with a ‘read more’ link and the individual post has the entire post.

  Hope that helps get you started.
