Posting & log-in problems
-
I’ve neglected my blog for a few months. Yesterday when I logged in and typed a post, it went goofy on me. When I clicked “Publish” and it came up with “Are you sure you want to edit this post?” (???) I clicked NO, and it took me to the WordPress Log-on. I clicked BACK and ended up with a page not found error. So I logged in AGAIN, and went through virtually the same process, except this time I clicked YES when it asked me if I wanted to edit… but the very same thing happened. I also tried to access my site stats and was bounced out to the log-in page also. I rebooted my computer, emptied the cache, and still the same situation. I tried to log in today on my other computer, and I’m having the very same problems! What’s happening here? My blog is http://www.momstheword.wordpress.com
Please help! -
I see you were successful at publishing a post yesterday. I see: What’s in your kid’s math books? Posted on February 1st, 2007.
Perhaps this is a cookie issue. Have you tried logging out, clearing your cookies and logging in from scratch again? -
Yes I did that. The post I was able to make yesterday was after FOUR attempts and being redirected to the log-in repeatedly. Everything I did, practically, was met with a log-in request. Today is no different.

This certainly sounds frustrating. IMO the time has come to send staff a feedback including as much information as possible about the symptoms, the environment in which the symptoms occur, and the adjustments you have made. The feedback button is on the top right hand corner of any of your blog pages.

I have this problem often with my wordpress blogs. I go to write a new post or page, and if I scroll down the page a bit, I see the login screen in the preview box. It’s a sure thing to kick me back to login if I try to write an article, and it will do this no matter what I select, including “save and continue editing.” Did this ever get resolved for you? Is there an answer?

I know you’re emptied the cache but this would be a cookie issue. You would have to empty that seperately as it doesn’t empty when you clear out the normal cache.
What’s your security settings within your browser? Security programs and settings? Anything weird about your setup like running through a proxy?
