trying to get back to blogging and found that my site did not work the same. i am wondering if i need to change or update my theme for it to work properly. thank you

When you say it’s not working properly, can you be more specific?
It is possible that the theme creators have made significant changes since you last were here and that is why things look and function differently. You may have to make some adjustments so that it works as you’d like.
Of course, you can always change to a new theme if this one is no longer to your liking! That’s one of the biggest advantages of WordPress.com, and it’s so easy.

the entire admin space looks different. also i notice plans being offered. perhaps it is no longer free. i was going to just switch themes so i get a refresh and any updates. thanks for any help

It sounds like you haven’t been here for quite some time! WordPress.com has several plan choices, the first of which is absolutely free. Within this plan, there are many, many themes from which you can choose. When you update the theme, you may have to make some adjustments so that your content appears as you’d like.
