  I’d like to write my post out without it being published. I would then rewrite it and publish it. Can I do this and how?

  You can create a draft post and edit it as many times as you want before you publish it. Go to Posts → All Posts in your dashboard and click “Add New”. Then create a draft post and click the “save draft” button.
