Posting 3rd party articles?
-
I was wondering if it is ok to copy and post articles third party without permission as long as the author is noted and I even have a link to the original article or post. It seems that I see this a lot on blogs but wanted to make sure of what the proper procedure would be.

Every blogger should read these:

http://www.copylaw.com/new_articles/copy_myths.htmlIn short: you should definitely credit anything you copy, but you almost always need permission.
In general most reasonable bloggers won’t mind if you quote a small excerpt with attribution and a link, but don’t copy a whole article without asking first. Always ask permission before copying content from commercial sites, news sites or crazy people.
