  Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

  No, I use Safari and this is a new issue. I just tried adding a tag (label) and updating, and it seems to have taken….Any ideas what’s going on?

  Not exactly sure what happened there but I’m glad it’s fixed.

  I’m not sure it’s really fixed – I hadn’t added tags before I tried to post the first time last night. I don’t think it requires tags to post, does it?

  Tags are not required. Perhaps it works better if you try creating posts at https://realsouthernwomen.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php instead of https://wordpress.com/post/
