How do Re Post an older post – just repost it… ?

Are you looking to have a second post of the same material, or do you want this post to just be at the top of your list of posts? I just want to make sure of your goals so that I can give you the best advice! :)

I want to repost as a new post. I have a long list of posts… which go throughout the year… (on the birthdays of famous composers for example)… and I just want to reschedule them. I tried one where I just went to the Date… edited it to a new time… and it worked. Is this the best way?… thanks.

Well, there are really two options. You can indeed do as you described. That will just move your post to be posted from today’s date, however anyone who is following your site will not be notified of the new post nor will it appear on the WordPress.com Reader.
Alternatively you can edit your old post, click on the “Text” tab (so you see the code of your old post, which is the easiest way to grab the entirety of your post), copy the code, then compose a new post, and in the Text tab paste the code again. You can check how it looks by checking the Preview and ensuring it all looks OK. Note that you will end up with two identical posts with this method (and you may want to update the post to make things interesting for your readers).

Thanks -the above ‘happy birthday for composers’ announcements that need to be repeated annually… I add more additional stuff… new posts, etc.
But since I have your ear, I do have another question. I have a number of blogs now… Originally I named it after my first project – ‘Tales Of The Ocean City’… but now when I answer posts and the like in any of my blogs it says ‘Tales Of The Ocean City’ instead of Christ Kaufman… is there a way of changing that? Thanks.

Just to clarify, are you talking about your Display Name? How your username appears when you make posts or comments on other people’s blog?
If so, then you can change your display name at any time and as often as you like by following the instructions right here:

Whichever one is the one people see with my picture when I reply to messages. Right now… when I reply to a comment… it says ‘talesoftheocaencity’ and is a link to the blognpage by that name.

That should be your Display Name and I think you’ve already changed it (?). I seem to recall a different display name from the one which is showing now, though I may just be going slowly insane. ;)
