posting a link in comment sections
-
Im a newbie and am still trying to feel my way around here. Whenever I google “how to get your blog seen”, one of the suggestions is to always post your link to any comment that you have on the web. But I could have sworn that I read on another post that it’s considered spam? Can you post your link to any comment and not have your whole blog taken down? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Correct posting your link as in every comment you leave is considered rude & spam the more proper way would have your name link to your site and if you’re posting on a blog that requires you to fill in the contact fields you can input your link into the website field which will link your site to your name when the comment is published.
So to sum things up putting a link to your site as a comment sig is a bad idea

And also not necessary. If your name is linked to your blog, then from my experience people are curious enough to click anyway. It’s fun after all to see who is behind a particularly funny or insightful comment. -
@skylarhope
slikbonez and taletellerin have told you that signature linsk are not allowed at wordpress.com and that they are redunant as your username is linked to your blog.I believe your confusion is stemming from the fact that signature links at the end of every comment (YUCK!) are allowed on other blog forums where the majority of members are make money bloggers.
That is NOT the case at wordpress.com.
