posting a password-protectd post

I’ve published a handful of posts successfully made password protected. However, one post persistently defies all my attempts to do so.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Try deleting the post and re-creating it.
In the Post Editor, click on the Text tab, and copy everything out of that screen to your clipboard. (This way you won’t have to re-create that post).
Then delete the post, empty the trash, and create a new post.
Again go into the Text tab and paste all of the content form the old post.

Thank you. I’ve done this twice since your response: once pasting text on the View page, the other time copying and pasting the HTML on the HTML tab. I emptied my trash before pasting and releasing each post. I’m baffled. I’ve had no trouble with any of my other protected posts.

I think I've discovered the problem. I edited another password-protected post. Afterwards, I found the original password-protected post was now protected, and the corrected password-protected post was now open. I was completely signed out of WordPress, by the way.
I went to my wife's computer and pulled up my blog. Sure enough, all the password-protected posts were password-protected, including the one that displayed open on my computer.
I'm assuming some “normal' correlation exists between the IP address of the blogger's computer and the full display of the last-viewed password-protected post on that computer.
It does seem weird.

I’m sorry for not responding as I thought you had your issue figured out. Yes, it could be something with the IP address or your computer knowing that you are logged in and thus showing your password-protected posts without needing a password.

Thanks, melindahelt. It’s still very strange. Today I posted a new piece, password protected, and, this time, it displays as protected. But the previous piece remains fully displayed with no indication it is password protected. This is on MY computer. When I look on my wife’s computer, all my password-protected posts are password protected. I feel better for seeing that; what I see on my end is a bit unnerving.
