  rookie question: i just tried to upload a photo to a post and it didn’t show up. i must be doing something wrong. can you tell me the basics? thanks

  This will introduce you to some basic wordpress resources.
  And this will help with the set up and configuring of widgets.

  Hi, this is a very helpful link to the instructions on posting a photo. However, my page doesn’t have the “Send to Editor” button featured in the instructions
  (http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/16/how-do-i-upload-pictures/)
  I am using Safari 2.0.4 as my browser. Is that the problem?

  Safari is likely the problem; there are many glitches between Safari and WordPress. If there is a different browser you can use, try that and see if it helps.

  Thanks for your reply! I tried it using Mozilla Firefox, and saw where the tab was, then figured out that in Safari, it was just unseen due to the fact that I had downsized the browser window (on a laptop). SO, it WAS there in Safari, I just had to maximize the window to fill the whole screen to see it. (blush)

  Safari has issues with the form of javascript that is used on wordpress and many other platforms.
